Another first for Nathaniel: laughing

Nathaniel was quick with his first smile (age 1 month), but we have been unable to get him to laugh... until this week. Mom got a laugh out of him in his favorite location (the changing table), and today I was able to make him laugh several times on his playmat. Watch this 20-second video to hear 3 short laughs:

New Year's Day: Nathaniel rolls over

I've finally gotten around to uploading some videos of Nathaniel from January, so I'll begin posting them here one by one. First up is 1 minute 10 seconds of Nathaniel learning to roll over from his back to his tummy on New Year's Day.

Nathaniel sleeps through the night!

Nathaniel just had another "first": last night he slept through the night! Previously, he has had a couple stretches of 5-6 hours of continuous sleep, but last night he slept for nearly 9 hours straight. This might have something to do with the fact that Nathaniel has been battling his first ear infection for the last several days, and his appetite has been suppressed... Hunger is the usual reason why he wakes up during the night. At any rate, Mom enjoyed her first night of uninterrupted sleep since last September!
